This book read almost like a folklore book intermixed with a historical account. It’s a bit hard to explain.
When Among Crows
Wow!! Okay, I had to say that first because this book was like a gut punch. This is grim dark urban fantasy set in our world featuring Slavic supernatural creatures.
A Letter to the Luminous Deep
First off, this book was compared to Emily Wilde and the only similarities it really holds is the academia tone and the fact that it’s written in an epistolary form. The content of the book itself was quite different.
Heartless Hunter
I will say that if you like Serpent & Dove (at least book 1) you’ll probably like this one as well. It’s really about the same level of interesting things happening and romance as S&D. However, there are definitely are a few differences.
Emily Wilde’s Map of the Otherlands
I ADORED the first book in this series and I absolutely LOVED this one! This was such an amazing follow up to the first book, and I can’t even explain how much I adored it.
Death Rattle
I found the main character, Clarke, a very relatable thirty-year old. I enjoyed the quirks that Pugh endowed her with.
