This was an amazing romantasy book, it had an equal amount of interesting plot as well as romance and spice. One of the things I enjoyed about the book was that this was an enemies-to-lovers romance.
As you all know, that is one of my favorite tropes. I thought that it played out well here, and that the way it was interconnected with the plot.
One of the other bits I liked were all the prophecy bits. Those were some of the most interesting parts to me.
I will say that there were a few plotlines I figured out, but it didn’t detract from the overall book! I will be curious to see what happens next, as this book very much felt like a setup for some bigger things in the future.
Another aspect I loved in this book was Hava and Una’s relationship as friends! I really enjoyed those moments together.
The world building and the magic building were also excellent, and I think those were two of my favorite things about this book. DRAGONS. Also, there was a dragon. I feel like that needs to be stated because DRAGON.
And I will be honest, there is something in this book that I don’t usually read (and if you’re my friend you 100% know what that is) but I didn’t mind it in this one? So…take of that what you will.
Overall, I was impressed with this book and am eagerly awaiting a sequel!
