Serpent Sea

Review

Thank you to Penguin Random House and Delacorte Press for an ARC of this book.

This book picks up where the previous book left off, and in some ways it brings the same issues from that book to this book. Each book contains their own plot and an overarching plot that connects them together, so I am very interested in what is going to happen in the third book.

Book two we get two points of views: Imani and Taha. They are separated for much of the book, and there is something happening every chapter. This book reveals some more secrets and resolves some plotlines from the first book.

Serpent Sea has quite a large cast of characters, both major and minor contributing to the story. All have a part to play.

I enjoyed the writing and the pacing, and the book kept me enthralled throughout. This book is light on romance, so if more plot and action and adventure is your thing, then this series is perfect.

I feel like the balance in this book was expertly done, and very much liked the book. As I said previously I am looking forward to reading the final book in the trilogy.
