This book was atmospheric, spooky and lovely all at the same time. It was a delightful read and the combination of the mystery and paranormal aspect were well done.

Yes, this is still a VERY solid dragon book in the YA fantasy world. Filled with grit and politics, it is EXCELLENT. Definitely a 4 star read.

Retellings and I can have a complicated relationship, but there was no complicated relationship here. I enjoyed this book from cover to cover,
Wow! I was BLOWN AWAY by this book. I think part of why I loved it so much is it touched on both themes and ideas we see in ancient mythology – specifically Greek and Viking, which have some of my favorite women warriors.
What do I say? How do I say it? This is a gothic romance/dark academia book, and it delivers in every aspect.
