Thank you to Liv Zander for a copy!
I love a good dark romance, and this book delivered on the dark romance aspect. Think Den of Vipers/Haunting Adeline but in a fantasy setting. It is DARK people, so there are some triggers to be aware of. Such as: on page non-con/dubcon, SA, 🔪 play, and gore.
I haven’t read anything else by this author before, so I didn’t know what to expect, but I enjoyed the entire experience. I felt that the world building was done well enough and that there was a plot so it wasn’t all spice/smut what-have-you. And while the romance was the main aspect, there were other things going on as well.
Liv Zander writes very well, and I could see Galantia becoming a favorite heroine of mine. Why? Because I feel like she doesn’t do stupid shit. Our two MMC are very opposite of each other, and I like the dynamic that plays out between the three of them throughout this book. I do like my villains dark, but Sebian was my favorite of the two. I do wonder how the relationship presented in this book will play out.
I was on the edge of my seat to find out what happens next, because man, that was a major cliffhanger ending!
I definitely did not expect what I got from this book, but I know I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I want to know how Galantia’s story continues.
