This book picks up not too long after Ithaca ends, and we once again rejoin Penelope on Ithaca. Instead of Hera, Aphrodite narrates this book, and what I love about North is she makes these goddesses so likeable (or unlikeable depending on your POV).

Greek myth from the POV of women is something I adore, but sometimes it gets bogged down in a sort of way that doesn't always work, but Claire North does something different

Be still my beating heart. Be still. I can still feel it thrumming in my chest as I write this review. The Bone Shard War is one of those epic series conclusions, and I think I was dribbling water from my eyes by the end.

If you love Greek mythology you're going to love this take on it. This book uses concepts we're all familiar with but turns it into a fantasy/dystopian world.
