This was a solid YA gothic horror book. It definitely feels comparative to something like Rory Powers or Erin Craig.
If you like modern gothic mysteries, you’ll like this book. It was not at all what I was expecting — I don’t know exactly what it was, but in some ways it reminded me a bit of Supernatural and Black Butler.

I adore Kingfisher’s novels. Everything about this novella was haunting and beautiful.
The concept of this book sounded amazing — and I very much enjoyed the book overall.
PLEASE tell me there is going to be a sequel. Because that last line — and that epilogue were EVERYTHING.
