You know those books that just make you melt? That you can’t help but sigh and say, “oh, I just love this!”? This is one of those books. It was so cutesy and was so sweet that my teeth still hurt thinking about it. Okay I lie, there is a lots of banter and enemies to lovers in this book and it was done so well.
Malibu Rising
way outside of my comfort zone. I read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and Daisy Jones and the Six and liked them both. So I figured I’d give Malibu Rising a chance. My mother and I read it one after the other and then talked about it. She’s read Evelyn but not Daisy.
Fire with Fire
Fire with Fire was a Fairyloot pick. However, it had already been on my radar of books I was interested in. DRAGONS. Who doesn’t love dragons? I love them in all their forms. It also mentioned sisters and rivals and dragons and who doesn’t love all those things? I was really hoping that I was going to be blown away by this book, but in the end it was middle of the road for me.
The Bone Shard Daughter
The Bone Shard Daughter is an excellent book. It’s not one I’d heard of before I read it which is a shame because it is truly excellent. This book needs more love because Stewart really captures the imagination in this one. This is an intricate story of family, survival and empires.
The Mask Falling
It is so hard to write a book review for book 4 in a series. So much has happened and so much does happen in this book. This won’t be a long review for many reasons the first of which is I am still struggling to put into words THAT ENDING. I feel the buildup in relationships in this book was one of my favorite things. I mean…yes.
The Winner’s Trilogy
I had attempted to read this series about a year ago and gave up because I felt that I wasn’t enjoying it AT ALL. But I found the entire series in my local used bookstore for $9 and I figured, hey, why not? If I didn’t like them I’d trade them back in for something else instead. Lo and behold I actually ended up liking this series.
